Pass-count and power notes per material: brass, 6082 aluminium, 304 stainless, mild steel
A depth-calibration ladder — 10 steps at increasing pass counts so you can measure actual depth achieved per pass on your own machine

Fiber source (LP3, or the fiber module on LP4/LP5) and patience. Deep engraving is 20–60 passes, not 3.

Glasses rated OD5+ at 1064nm, and don't stand over it.

The calibration ladder is the useful part — now I know my actual microns per pass on brass instead of guessing.
