We have an LP2 Safeguard going into a secondary school design room. I'm writing the operating procedure and want to hear from people who run machines around inexperienced users.
What are your non-negotiables?

Non-negotiables from running training sessions:
The Safeguard is a good choice for this because the enclosure and interlocks do a lot of the work for you.
Add a job log: name, date, material, settings, duration. Sounds bureaucratic but it teaches process and it's invaluable when something goes wrong and you need to know what happened.
Locked material cupboard and laminated cards are going in the procedure verbatim. Thank you both — this is exactly the practical detail the official docs don't give you.
