I use both and I'm curious how others split them. LDS for machine-specific features, LightBurn for layout?
LightBurn vs LDS — which do you use, and for what?

That's exactly my split. LightBurn for anything with layers, arrays, or where I need proper node editing. LDS when I want a machine-specific feature — rotary setup, 3D relief, camera positioning, firmware — because that's where those live and they're properly integrated.
For batch production I stay in LightBurn because the array and offset tools save me real time. For anything using the machine's own hardware features, LDS every time.
Design in Illustrator, lay out and cut in LightBurn, use LDS for machine setup and firmware. Three tools, each doing what it's best at.
